Andrei Gugninn

Andrei is a prize-winner of numerous domestic and international competitions,
including the Neuhaus International Young pianists competition in Moscow (1998),
winner of the 1st Russian young musicians competition “New Names” (2000) , and
many others.
Mr. Gugnin is a recipient of the prestogious Guzik Scholarship award. These
awards are given to young artists of exceptional talent. Mr. Gugnin performed in
San Francisco on the Chamber Music San Francisco series at the Palace of the
Legion of Honor last February.
His fist eagerly anticipated CD recording of both Shostakovoich Piano Concerti
with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra under Constantine Orbelian will be released
later in 2006 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the composer's birth.
Mr. Gugnin performs in Russia's prestigious concert halls: the Large and Small,
the Rachmaninov Halls of the Moscow Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky Concertt Hall,
the Moscow International House of Music, with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra,
Moscow Chamber Orchestra, the Dutch National orchestra. He’s toured Russia,
Germany, Italy, Israel, Holland and the USA.
