Maria Such Martinez
soprano
Born in Muro, Alicante where she began her musical studies at L’ Escoela musica
in her native town with Jose Rafael Pascual and Maria Angeles Palacios. She
then continued her studies at the Mestre Verd of Carcaixent conservatoire under
the supervision of Conxa Ruiz, obtaining the highest qualifications.
In Barcelona she continued her studies with Enriqueta Tarrés and repetiteur Alan
Branch. She also attended master classes with Marimí del Pozo, Miguel Zanetti,
and music interpretation courses with Teressa Berganza.
Meanwhile she worked as a singing teacher at the following schools la Vall
d'Albaida, l'escola del Comptat and l'escola de l'Apolo d'Alcoi. .
She has given numerous performances as a solo singer which include: mass in G
major by Schubert, coronation mass by Mozart, rèquiem by Fauré, Carmina Burana,
Stabat Mater (Giambattista Pergolesi), Stabat Mater (Haydn), la Petite messe
solennelle ( Rossini), Die Schöpfung (Joseph Haydn) and other oratory concerts,
lied, òpera, zarzuela, Spanish songs, etc. Her opera repertoire comprises
Sussana from “Le Nozzi di Figaro” (Mozart), Violeta from Traviatta (Verdi),
Zerline from Don Giovanni (Mozart), Amina from Sonámbula (Bellini), Gilda from
Rigoletto (Verdi), Adina from L'Elisir d'amore (Donizetti), Cleopatra from
Julius Cesar (Häendel).
