Roman Svirlov

Roman Svirlov was born 1968 in Russia. As a student of Valery Klimov and Sergey
Girshenko at the Moscow State Conservatory, Roman won a diploma in the
prestigious Vianna da Motta International Violin Competition in Portugal (1991).
Graduating from the MSC with coveted certificates as a soloist and leader of
chamber and symphonic orchestras, Roman has performed with the “Academy of
Authentic Music” by T.Grindenko and hold position as a concertmaster in “TV-6”
Moscow orchestra by A.Vedernikov. Later, since 2002 he was concertmaster of the
“Cairo Symphony Orchestra” and “Chamber orchestra Sekem” by Ahmed El Saedi in
Egypt.
Since 2004 he was leader of “Moscow State Orchestra” by D. Orlov, “Sergey
Prokofiev” orchestra by P. Ovsiannikov, “Maestro”
orchestra by K. Krimetz (recording violin solos for CD`s and “One night with a
King” film), “Amadeus” chamber orchestra by F. Cadena and guest leader of “New
Russia” Symphony orchestra by U. Bashmet.
Roman Svirlov took part in numerous concertos throughout USA, Russian, Spain and
Egypt. Since 2006 he plays in outstanding symphony orchestra “Palau de les Arts
Reina Sofia” (Valencia, Spain) by Lorin Maazel and Zubin Metha
