Wael Farouk

At the age of 27, Egyptian pianist Wael Farouk has already had an
extensive performing career. He has appeared as soloist with the North Czech
Philharmonic Orchestra, the Saint-Etienne National Orchestra, the Academy of the
Arts Orchestra, with the Manhattan Symphony , and with the Cairo Symphony
Orchestra.
Wael Farouk has toured England, Russia, Italy, France, Spain, Hungary, Germany
and Japan as recitalist and chamber music player, including venues such as the
White Hall in St. Petersburg, the Kurt Masur Hall at the Johann Sebastian Bach
Music School in Leipzig, and Schumann’s house.
Wael Farouk began his studies at age seven in the Cairo Conservatory. Since
2001, Wael Farouk has studied in the United States at the Brevard Music Center,
at the Catholic University of America with Marilyn Neeley, at Converse College
with Doug Weeks, and at Manhattan School of Music, from where he graduated in
2007 with a Professional Diploma in the class of Solomon Mikowsky. He is
currently an Artist Diploma student of Dr. Mikowsky at the Chicago College of
Performing Arts.
